Sequencing Board, busy book activity, preschool, prek
Sequencing is the process of putting events, ideas and objects in a logical order.
Why is sequencing important? We understand events in our lives by understanding the order in which they occur.
For some children, sequencing can be a hard concept to grasp, especially when they are trying to tell a story. While using the chart, help your child use words like “first”, “next”, “then”, and “finally”.
Sequencing is an important skill for all children to practice in early childhood. This page offers a hands on way to put picture cards in logical order. Your child can use the picture cards to tell a story as they sequence the cards on the mat.
This activity is a digital download. Once purchased, the download will be available right away (right on the "Thank you!" page that pops up immediately following checkout). Download the file to your computer before printing. Once printed, laminate and cut pieces. Add Velcro to the chart and the backs of the cards and you're ready to play!
I suggest printing on thick premium paper, laminate with thick pouches (5mm work best), and adhere the pieces to the page with Velcro brand hook and loop fasteners. The better the quality of the materials you use, the longer the chart will hold up.
⭐️ There are 90 total cards
- There are 29 total 3 piece sequence sets
